Every day, thousands of accounts are compromised because of weak or reused passwords. A Password Generatorsolves this problem by creating long, random, and unique passwords that are virtually impossible to crack — even with sophisticated brute-force tools.
The core principle behind a good password generator is true randomness. Unlike a human picking a password based on personal information (a pet's name, a birthday, or a favorite sports team), a random password generator uses cryptographic randomness to produce passwords with maximum entropy. This means there is no pattern for an attacker to exploit. Every possible password of the given length and character set is equally likely.
Our Password Generator lets you customize the length (from 6 to 64 characters) and choose which character types to include: uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special symbols. You can also toggle options to exclude ambiguous characters (like 0, O, l, and 1) that are easy to misread. Once generated, a single click copies your new password to the clipboard.
Pair your generated passwords with a reliable password manager — then you only need to remember one strong master password. For an extra layer of protection, consider enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) on all your important accounts. And if you ever want to evaluate a password you have created, use our Password Strength Checker to see how it rates.
Create unique, cryptographically random passwords in seconds. Fully customizable and completely private.
Q: How long should a generated password be?
A: For most accounts, 12-16 characters is sufficient. For critical accounts like email, banking, and password managers, aim for 20+ characters. Every additional character multiplies the difficulty of a brute-force attack exponentially.
Q: Should I use symbols in my passwords?
A: Yes — adding symbols significantly increases entropy. With a full set of 95 printable ASCII characters, a 16-character password has 95¹⁶ possible combinations. That said, a sufficiently long password using only letters and numbers can still be extremely secure.
Q: Can I use the same generated password on multiple sites?
A: No. Every account should have a unique password. If one site is breached, attackers will try the same email and password combination on other services. A password generator makes it easy to create a unique password for every single account.
