Q: How accurate are race time predictions?
A: Race time predictions assume even pacing at your current pace over the entire distance. They are most accurate for distances similar to your input distance. Predictions become less accurate for much longer or shorter distances due to physiological differences.
Q: What pace should I run for my first marathon?
A: For a first marathon, aim for a pace that is 20-40 seconds per km slower than your comfortable half marathon pace. Many first-timers start even more conservatively — finishing strong is better than fading in the last 10 km.

A: Heat significantly impacts performance. Above 15°C (59°F), pace slows by approximately 1-2% per 5°C increase. Humidity, sun exposure, and lack of wind also affect pace. Adjust your goal pace upward on hot days.
